This paper proposes formulation how to calculate granule collapse probability in a spherical powder compact during cold isostatic pressing (CIP). To obtain the stress distribution in the compact, we solve a new ordinary differential equation for radial displacement, on a ground that Young's modulus is changed along radial coordinate. By substituting the stress distribution into fracture location theory, we derive the joint probability density function of granule collapse as a function of the radial coordinate and the applied CIP pressure. For a given parameters, we actually calculate the granule collapse probability in the powder compact during CIP.
