Velocity measurements of parallel circular jets were carried out in this study. Air was issued from circular orifices arrayed at an equal interval in a line. The jet interval, which was the distance between jet exit centers, ranged from 1.5 to 4.5 times greater than the diameter of the jet exit, and Reynolds number of the jet was varied from around 1100 to 4700 in this study. Velocity was measured by a single normal hot wire probe, and mean velocity and turbulence intensity of the parallel circular jets were examined. The experimental results suggest that the characteristics of the jets were categorized into two types of flows, which are laminar and turbulent states. In the state of turbulent flow, relatively high Reynolds number in the experiments, the decay of the centerline velocity gets closer to that of the turbulent two-dimensional jet with the smaller jet interval and higher Reynolds number.
