The thrust performance of the Trielectrode plasma actuator with sawtooth electrode has been investigated in terms of the frequency of the applied AC voltage, and the gap length between their exposed electrodes. The induced body force of the plasma actuator was investigated on quiescent air, by measuring thrust of the induced jet. From the results of the experiment, the induced jet of TED plasma actuator greatly was found to depend on the AC frequency, when the gap length is short. This suggests that the frequency of the AC voltage has an effect on the generation of the discharge between the exposed electrodes, resulting deflection of the induced jet, which is generated by the interaction of the counter jets from the exposed electrodes.
