The flow of the rotary cylinder rotation is grasped as a basic flow to produce lift, but the flow in the boundary layer and the grasp about the state of the detachment are unknown too much. We confirm that the Görtler vortices occurs in a boundary layer of rotary cylinder like a double cylindrical interval. It is a purpose in this study to confirm a lap direction ditch in a rotary cylinder of the limited head whether the detachment position of the turn cylinder is changed by being available, and controlling the outbreak of the Görtler vortices. We prepared for three kinds of lap direction ditch cylinders which the depth of the ditch was different from a cylinder without the ditch in. We visualized a state of the detachment and the outbreak of the whirlpool long in these by PIV and confirmed the resistance level by a fluid power experiment. The shallow lap direction ditch cylinder of the ditch had a bigger detachment width than an experiment, but confirmed that resistance was small.
