This study focuses on the development of desktop fog media device that will promote creation of bodily movements and of images by generating natural and inherent flow of fog. The device is capable of displaying a flowing fog image, similar to the phenomenon often observed at Mt. Taro, and allows performers to conduct a 3-D physical interaction by adjusting the angle of fog-generating surface from 0 to 90 degrees according to the bodily information of them. The authors have also devised an embodied media image with utilizing wave-generating software. In conclusion, a new display device, which boosts creation of images via the synergistic effects of changes in the fog flow through bodily movements and in the way images appear, has been developed.
