In this paper, the development and calibration methodology of one dimensional finite volume method coupled with the chemical kinetics model in catalysts and the macro/mesoscopic scale diffusion model into/in wash coat to express internal phenomena of exhaust gas after treatment system for internal combustion engine is reviewed. The pressure inside the channel is calculated by using the Hagen-Poiseuille flow relationship. The law of energy conservation and mass balance for the gas and solid phase in ceramics honeycomb is considered. The example of chemical reaction kinetics model and calibration results showed and its issues discussed.
