This paper describes vibration characteristics of a web partially subjected to an aerodynamic excitation. In the experiment, an actuator (exciter) is set at the upstream side from the web and fluctuation of flow velocity due to vibration of the actuator is caused. The frequency response of the web is examined by experiment with changing the frequency of the actuator and flow velocity. Moreover, a theoretical model for the aerodynamic excitation response using FEM (Finite Element Method) and DPM (Doublet-point method) based on the unsteady lifting surface theory is developed. The local work done by the fluid force acting on the web surface is calculated by the analysis.
