This paper describes the validity of the image analysis using the Natural Strain theory which is an effective strain representation for large deformation. The progress of local deformation occurring in the process of applying tension is investigated by using the test specimens which is applied the repeated shear loads in advance. As for the strain history of cyclic shear loads, several different size of the deformation path is examined in these experiments. The present experimental results measured by image data from middle position to upper position are compared with the result measured by displacement mater, which is an average measurement between gauge lengths in a test piece. Then, the effects of these strain histories in cyclic shear loads on the progress of local deformation during tensile deformation are revealed in this paper.
