Abstract

Based on the prefectural strategy to promote local industry Akita prefecture is strongly focusing on boosting economy by wind energy industry.. Since there is no producer in the prefecture, focused area is so-called operation and maintenance. In this study, annual operation report provided by NEDO was analyzed. Based on the data, frequency, severity and detectivity were quantified. By multiplying the 3 indices, risk priority number was calculated. Then, the paper clarifies which failure modes should be focused on and which parts should be prepared for repair parts. Plus, the study also considerers proper strategies to change maintenance method from BM (breakdown maintenance) to CBM(condition based maintenance) of TBM(Time based maintenance). Effect of such changes will be quantified throughout some methods. Then, the proper strategies in operating wind power systems in the prefecture will be shown.
