In this study, we discuss the effect of jet incoming angle interfering with a Couette flow through numerical simulations. It is found that when the jet flows in same direction as the Couette flow, the instantaneous vortex structure has strong and distinct periodicity. In time-averaged flow and temperature fields, the Nusselt number shows characteristic distributions. Furthermore, a huge and strong counter-rotating vortex pair is extracted when the jet flows to same direction with the Couette flow. This pair vortex affects the heat transfer on the jet impinging surface. Similar to our previous study, this vortex pair entrains the main flow fluid and governs a characteristic Nusselt number distribution. Based on the distributions of vertical turbulent heat flux, the high temperature fluid is transported from the upper area to the bottom, or the low temperature fluid is transported from the bottom to the upper area. Thus, the vertical turbulent heat flux distribution consists with Nusselt number distribution.
