In order to further improve the functions of electronic devices, it is essential to miniaturize the storage battery and increase the capacitance. Carbon is used for the negative electrode in terms of capacitance, and the surface area of carbon affects its capacity. Therefore, in recent years, many studies of porous carbon thin films having a large number of pore structures have been reported. However, the porous carbon thin film produced by the conventional method has problems such as heat resistance and pore stability. So, in this research, the porous carbon thin film by the soft template method which uses 1, 4- dihydroxyanthraquinone as a carbon source was developed, and the characteristic comparison was performed by X-ray analysis and SEM observation. As a result, the porous carbon thin film produced using 1,4-dihydroxyanthraquinone exhibited peak values at a plurality of analysis angles unlike those produced by the conventional production method. Moreover, several black spots were confirmed by what was produced using 1, 4- dihydroxy anthraquinone by surface observation.
