The purpose of this study is simultaneously measurement of force, color, and temperature by MEMS tactile sensor for skin diagnosis including visual inspection and palpation. First, it is confirmed that the fabricated sensor has sensitivity to force, light, and temperature. After that, by contacting the skin of actual human hand with the sensor, it is found that the sensor response reflecting mechanical, optical, and thermal states of the skin is obtained combinedly and simultaneously. Thus, it is demonstrated that this sensor has possibility to apply to skin diagnosis as a measuring device instead of visual inspection and palpation. Moreover, as a result of a statistical analysis of measured data for multiple human subjects, it is suggested that the sensor response depending on the part of the hand can be obtained.
