抄録

The characteristics of active-grid-generated flows are investigated. Streamwise flow velocities are measured by a hot wire anemometer. Turbulence intensity obtained in a closed test section is weaker than that in an open one. We confirmed that the turbulence intensity is nearly constant in the closed test section. Uniform turbulence is obtained in the test section. Hence, it is considered that the wind tunnel testing of two-dimensional airfoils can be conducted in the active-grid-generated flows in the closed test section.
