Effect of the buoyancy force stabilizing disturbances is investigated on inhomogeneous flow where disturbances are dispersed from turbulent to non-turbulent flow field in the direction perpendicular to gravity force; density stratification is imposed in the vertical direction. Attaching the fringe region where velocities are excited by the artificial body force, spectral method is used for inhomogeneous flow stirred at the one side of the computational box. As a result, through the periodic boundary condition the disturbances diffused from both ends of the computational region become layered structure under stable density stratification. It is also found that after diffused disturbances from both ends are overlapped in the center of the computational region, flow becomes almost homogeneous. This homogenization is observed at earlier period of the calculation when stronger stratification is imposed.
