Abstract

Cross roller bearing has a structure in which cylindrical rollers are alternately arranged in 90-degree V-grooves, so it can receive loads in all directions, such as moments, in addition to loads in the radial and thrust directions.is there .The biggest feature is that it is very compact and has high rigidity, so it is used for the joints of robots and rotating parts of machine tools. However, lifetime prediction is desired because of short life. X-ray diffraction has been used as a means to evaluate metal fatigue, and lifetime prediction techniques have been studied. In this study, the lifetime prediction of cross roller bearing was estimated by using the X-ray diffraction method. For the lifetime prediction, we used the half - value width of the X-ray parameter that has a high correlation with the lifetime. As a result, the transition of the half - value width became a decreasing trend and decreased to a certain value. At the time of injury, a sharp decrease in half - value width was confirmed.
