産業集積地における中小企業の品質管理への取り組みについて

This paper introduces the efforts of quality management for small and medium-sized enterprises in Tsubame. Tsubame is one of the leading industrial clusters in Japan. In the city, quality management was not advanced in SMEs. However, promoting quality management had great potential for them. At one point, the Tsubame Chamber of Commerce and Industry created a new third-party certification system, "TSO". TSO is a quality management standard created by excerpting ISO 9001 for SMEs. It visualized the technology and promoted standardization in the company. It has had effects on the companies and the entire region in Tsubame. And it is also useful for fostering successors and business succession for SMEs. TSO will be a very important initiative when considering DX in them in the future. There are other areas that have similar problems as Tsubame. We consider this case to be useful for business succession and the development of SMEs in other regions.
