The metal engraving technique "KEBORI" as the traditional arts and crafts was reproduced using the latest machining technology. The 6th axis control was installed for rotation control of the spindle in the machining center.
It was requested to maximize the performance of the non-rotational special "KEBORI" tool already developed. In the metal engraving technique "KEBORI", the machining speed depended on hammering impact is important against the engraved ditch surface quality. In this paper, the effectiveness of special service tool with micromachining cycle for "KEBORI" which improved about machining speed and intermittent cutting was reported.
