Due to global warming and natural disasters, locally generated and carbon-free electricity is becoming more popular, as they are more reliable and environmentally friendly options. In this study, we propose a method to create renewable energy, whereby a car alternator, a bicycle and a bicycle roller for bicycle training were used for energy harvesting. Additionally, the system proposed in the study was capable of changing the load for bicycle training by controlling the electrical current using Arduino. The power conversion efficiency was measured by comparing human input power which was measured by a power meter on the crank of the bike and output electrical power measured by a current sensor and Arduino. As a result, the maximum efficiency of this system was around 20%. An analysis of the data also showed a positive correlation between efficiency and generated electricity, and a negative correlation between efficiency and cadence.
