Abstract
Roughening of surface during plastic deformation of polycrystalline metal is closely related to the inhomogeneous deformation of each grain. In this study, the uniaxial tensile test is carried out using annealed iron specimens with large grain size. The grain orientation of respective grains is measured by using EBSD (electron backscattering diffraction) method in the scanning electron microscope. The grain orientations of rolling plane is analyzed and represented with the inverse pole figure. The roughening of the free surface during uniaxial plastic deformation is also measured with the stylus measuring instrument and the 3-dimensionnal surface shape is obtained.
