A piezo element has the possibility that it can be used as micro-generator for movable equipments. The mechanical/electric energy conversion efficiency of this element can be calculated using Young's modulus and electric power obtained through the experiments. And then, we developed the apparatus which measures Young's modulus of small size of brittle materials. We measured Young's modulus of two kind of piezo elements which developed in our laboratory, and obtained the values, 7.5 and 21 GPa. These values are small in a digit compared with commercial piezo element. And further, we measured output voltage of the piezo elements, and obtained 110V as the maximum value under the stress 22MPa and in open circuit.
