Abstract
Z mechanism is a new mechanism invented by one of authors. In the first report the deduction process and classification is presented. In this paper, parallel and angle-drive power train based on Type 1 Z mechanism are described. Static force analysis is presented, and finally the output force is obtained in terms of parameters of mechanism, coefficients of friction, input displacements and input force.
