Abstract
Collaboration consists mainly of two tasks; one is the treatment of individual task by each, the other is communication with each other. In our previous paper, it is indicated that the viewpoint from which the user can see the partner's avatar and his own avatar in the same virtual space is useful for smooth communication. However, the motion images including the user's own avatar might discourage him from shape evaluation. This paper investigates the influence of difference of two viewpoints; one is the viewpoint from which the user can see his own motions through the translucent avatar, the other is the viewpoint from which user can see only his forearms' motions, on shape evaluation in virtual space. The result indicates that the viewpoint from which the user can see only his forearms' motions in preferred for the shape evaluation in virtual space.
