The network shared design class activities with Stanford University during the years 2001 and 2002 are described. One of the deliverables from the activities during these years is the overview of the status quo of the present technologies associated driver friendly interactive interface, which assignment was given by our corporate partner Toyota Motor. Investigations were carried out on browser information systems, how we can make inputs using voice, how we can communicate with an external server, and how we can retrieve text information as an output to speech. And another deliverable was a prototype system to detect drivers's emotional conditions by of voice.
