Interaction of Clamping Force in the Group Bolted Rectangular Plates

Abstract

This report deals with the interaction in the tightening of the group bolted rectangular plates. The initial clamping force of the bolt changes by the influence of the bolt next tightened in the group bolted, and it can't get the clamping force of the purpose. The equation that the clamping force to decrease due to the interaction is calculated is deduced. The tightening experiment with two bolts is performed to examine this equation. The experimental results agree approximately with the equation, and the validity of the equation is confirmed.
