Abstract
A friction coefficient between wheel and road is regarded as being important factor for prevention of car accidents and making progress in drivability. This paper proposes a vehicle model. And the lateral motion, the yawing motion, the rolling motion, the load shift, and the suspension alignment change analyzed by using a multi-body-dynamics simulation program (ADAMS) are taken into consideration in the proposed model. 3-directional forces acting between wheel and road can be obtained by using the proposed model. Furthermore, a friction coefficient can be extrapolated by using these forces.
