A efficiently ventilation control method for release of pollution from road tunnel portals is described. The method is still under development. The first such tunnel will be longitudinally ventilated and will have one-way traffic. In this report, we are introducing the outline of the method and an example of its evaluation. It is shown to offer valuable advantages to tunnel operators, including predictive information as well as cost savings.
