In the former work, the authors have developed a theoretical formula to estimate pressure gain by the jet fans placed at an enlarged tunnel cross section. They have also confirmed the formula by three-dimensional numerical analysis, and obtained the pressure gain coefficient to be 0.86, which is close to the values measured in uniform cross section. In the present work, the authors have set up experimental apparatus to confirm the validity of the formula. The experimental result gave good agreement with the numerical analysis, and supported the validity of the proposed formula.
