Abstract
Maintenance of oil storage tanks has recognized recently as an important subject for insurance of the integrity. A new method to estimate a size and a position of corrosion occurred on a bottom of oil storage tank is proposed in this paper. A principle of the method is based on electric potential method with an idea of complex potential flow. Electric potential on the outer circuit of the bottom plate calculated by complex potential function was used for inverse analysis to estimate the size and position of corrosion. Convergent condition for the analysis was investigated in also the paper.
