AZ31 magnesium alloy slurry was cast into the twin roll castor to make casting sheets. The magnesium slurry was obtained by using an inclined cooling plate. The cooling plate plays an important role of nucleation of primary magnesium crystals on the cooling plate. The sheets obtained were 2 or 3mm thick, 100mm wide and 2m long. The surface is smooth and distribution of granular magnesium crystals were distributed homogeneously. The sheets were possible to roll until reduction rate was 20% at room temperature.
