The cycloidal propeller is a propulsion system which can derive thrust in omni-directions by changing the attack angle of wing rotating with a constant speed. In order to investigate the characteristics of the cycloidal propeller, we visualized the flow around the propeller using an aerosol generator and measured flow velocities. Moreover, we also made flight experiments of the airship equipped with the propeller. It was verified that the propeller worked as we desired when it was applied to an airship.
