The color patterns of the ancient braids employed as the ancient textile. The braids are the cultural properties that are kept in the Shosoin on the Nara period. On the other hand, the Tirolean tapes were evaluated as the modern textile. We examined how contemporary people emotionally accepted the color patterns of both these ancient braids produced in the ancient times and the modern times. The subjects were Korean, Japanese, and American and European people. This research asked people to select their favorite color patterns among the ancient braids to answer their impressions about these patterns. Of course, in the case of the modern textile, the same procedure was carried out.
