The 3D-CAD system is very useful for the development of a product and has been widely spread in the industry. Sometimes, some kinds of commercial 3D-CAD software are used even in a company. It is expected that the solid model by the 3D-CAD system can be easily exchanged between each different 3D-CAD system through the network. In the present study, a new method for realizing the on-line exchange is proposed, that is, the interoperability is guaranteed of the heterogeneous 3D-CAD. The system developed exemplified the exchange between two kinds of kernel of 3D-CAD.
