In this paper, the authors report on Brunei's Atmospheric Railway (BAR), this was organized by Isambard Kingdom Brunei (1806-1859), through field works in England. After a field investigation at Starcross where was installed a pumping house as the BAR's steam power station, historical materials of BAR's pipe were investigated at three railway museums: Didcot Railway Centre has preserved and displayed the original 22in-diameter pipes of the BAR. Both STEAM (Museum of the Great Western Railway, Swindon) and NRM (National Railway Museum, York) have replicas of the BAR's pipe and give information about details of the BAR's system. Through on-the-site investigations, the authors could collect a lot of valuable references and materials for making a replica of the BAR.
