As a part of the present investigation has already been reported in the former information, there are a number of unclarified points regarding use of the Y-type lumbers of the excavations in Sakuramachi-Site (Oyabe City, Toyama). On the assumption that the Y-type lumbers can be used as sledges, the positioning of Y-type lumbers in the history of tribology is discussed in this paper.
