Abstract
In this study, minimally invasive electromagnetic hearing aids (EMHA) which directly vibrate both the stapes and the round window were proposed, and a prototype of the EMHA was constructed. The EMHA consists of vibration coils, a chamber, and a magnet. To estimate the power of the EMHA, an artificial stapes-cochlea model was made, and the vibration of the stapes head of the model generated by the EMHA was measured. The results suggested that the EMHA generated an excitation force of 90dB SPL in terms of sound pressure in the wide frequency range of 250-10,000Hz.
