A new concept of Morphable Beam Device isproposed for versatile applications such as inspection of spacecraft. The device is composed of a long beam with shapekeeping function whose shape we can control using a centralized actuator part. The device can be stored in a relatively small compartment when unused and deployable gradually outside the spacecraft. Detailed concept and an initial investigation using a developed test model are presented.
