We implement a suitable education program in university for introduction to mechanical engineering. It is combination of newspapers and Journal of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, which provide background information to set of introductory lectures about mechanical engineering (subject name: History of Epoch-making New Technology) and enable a deepening of understanding about solutions to daily problems. This education program is able to increase desire to learn and encourage the creative talents of mechanical engineering. We also utilize the opportunities offered by the program for invitation to join a student member of JSME.
