Abstract

We are developing curriculum on medical engineering for working engineers, especially those who are from S & E enterprises. We are trying to develop 3 courses, Medical Technology & Equipment, Manufacturing Process & Industrial Engineering and plan to use these textbooks for master course in Kobe University in coming April. Each courses are comprised of not only 12 lessons but experiments and internship. What we are trying to do is to introduce realistic manufacuturing cases into textbooks as much as possible. Teaching level is another big problem, because those of working engineers lies within mostly those of technical college not of university graduates. This paper describes progress of our curriculum development as well as problems which we have to overcome.
