Abstract

The method of modal control is applied for the vibration control of machine structure which is expressed by the lumped parameter model. An L-shaped structure is attached with two electromagnetic exciters which control the vibration induced in it. Eventually, the modal control system is of 4-degree of freedom. To estimate parameters quantitatively, the computer simulation for the control system is carried out. For the modal feedback gains and PID compensators' gains, the best values that can be served to suppress the magnitudes of 1st to 4th mode are searched by the Simulink simulation.
