Abstract
A self-powered active anti-rolling system for ships, which generates energy from vibration and uses it for active control, has been proposed. The authors propose to use a flywheel as an accumulator for the generated energy. The result of the numerical simulation shows the effective self-powered anti-rolling system can be operated with the flywheel whose revolution speed reaches 20000-30000rpm.
