Abstract
There are some important parameters called as the camera parameters. The information of line of sight that is to be used for 3D measurements is obtained by transforming the position of the object's image by using the camera parameters. So, it is necessary for the high accurate 3D measurement to calibrate camera parameter with high accuracy. This study covers 2-plane calibration method that is one of the simplest methods. In the 2-plane calibration method, the calibration reference chart containing reference points, of which position are known relative to camera, is moved in the depth direction, and pictures of the calibration reference chart are taken before and after the motion. Here, the errors of the position and orientation of the calibration reference chart (we called these errors "setup error of calibration reference chart") have much effect on the accuracy of calibration. In this paper, the authors formulate the relationship between the setup error of the calibration reference chart and the accuracy of calibration.
