Much attention has been paid on a micro synthetic jet with periodic injection and suction as an effective device for flow separation control. The measurement of the three-dimensional flow is strongly required in order to evaluate usefulness of the synthetic jet on the flow control. The objectives of present study are to construct the measurement system of stereo particle image velocimetry (stereo-PIV) synchronized with the periodic flow phenomena and to understand the three-dimensional flow field induced by a synthetic jet. The pictures of the jet injected at the frequency of 100Hz taken at ten different phases were processed. A periodic behavior of the synthetic jet on the shift of the stagnation point was clarified.
