Abstract
Nowadays, it is necessary to build a tall plant on a narrow site for the effective land use. In order to satisfy the demand, we have proposed the new type stirrer using draft tube. It has been confirmed that the new type stirrer could perform mixing operation under low power and low shear force. In this research, consequently, it tried to apply the new type stirrer to a water-purifier tank. It is important to equalize the flow velocity distribution in the water-purifier tank. As a result of combining a flow guide ring with a new type stirrer, flow velocity distribution became equal and mixing time was shortened.
