Stent is a medical devise for the treatment of vascular occlusion. The stent is inserted into the artery and expanded. However, at the time of stent expansion, an artery inner wall is damaged by excessive pressure between stent and artery, and restenosis becomes a problem. So for, some investigations about contact pressure between artery and stent under specific conditions have been made by using finite element analysis but experimental investigation based on the measurement has not been done because of the difficulty of the measurement. In this research, measurement system of contact pressure distribution between artery and stent was developed using pressure-sensitive conductive film sensor and experimentally examined the usefulness of the system.
