This paper presents experimental results on the thermal fume by fires of various Heat Release Rates in a road tunnel equipped with a chimney. Experimental tests were carried out on a 1/5th scale model tunnel. The results of this study showed that, chimney exhaust quantity depends on a thermal fume temperature in front of the vent, and quantity of exhaust thermal fume from chimney is proportional to the 3/2nd power of thermal fume rise temperature. As for that effect, even simulation was confirmed.
