It is required for the production system to realize more high flexibility and performance to cope with various needs of customers. In this paper, a new production and inventory management model dynamic production, which obtains the advantages of both make-to-stock and make-to-order production systems, is discussed. Important parameters for production and inventory management are extracted, and rules for deciding range of appropriate amount of stock and decision rules for quantity of production are proposed.
