Abstract
DRBFM (Design Review Based on Failure Mode) is proposed as reliability problems prevention method. The errors in conducting the DRBFM method can be classified into three types (The unnotice, the underestimating and the misunderstanding.) Solutions for the unnotice and the misunderstanding have previously been proposed. However, the one for the underestimating errors has not been established. This paper describes the modified DRBFM is efficient method in finding underestimating errors, practice results of FMEA and the modified DRBFM are compared. In the modified DRBFM, at first the new product and resultful product are compared. The physical interferences of parts are subsequently found. After words the structure development model is modified. This result it, 24 mechanical engineering students predict failure by using the both method demonstrates that the modified DRBFM is more efficient than the FMEA in finding error of underestimating.
