Abstract
A total hip replacement which has been made of fiber reinforced plastics is expected for advantages of the freedom of the design parameters. The artificial hip joint cup is required for high reliability of the fixation with bone. In this study, three types of cup with several surface treatments have been prepared, and the torsion-compression test has been carried out for the estimation of initial fixed torque and maximum torque.
