The purpose of this research is to study the deformation mechanism and a condition to occure a stress induced martensitic transformation and a slip deformation of Fe-28Mn-6Si-5Cr shape memory alloy under multi-axial loading condition. We performed an uni-axial tensile test, an uni-axial compressive test and a simple torsional test and then recovered there shape to heat. From these results, it found that the martensitic transformation appeared before the slip deformation. Moreover a shape recovery strain and a plastic strain increase in proportion to stress. It was considered that the stress surface of the stress induced martensitic transformation corresponded to a Mises criterion and its yield surface corresponded to a Tresca criterion.
