Damping of vibration is one of the most important problem in design of turbine blade. So, development of high damping materials is desired. But the turbin blade is usually used under the centrifugal force and the high temperature, it should be desirable that high damping materials had been developed under a working condition. The damping capacity is affected by applied load and temperature. From such a background cermet alloys are measured by damping capacity measurement equipment under the high temperature and high applied load. (1) It is resulted that the relaxation peak appears in the heating process of V30, V50 and C50. These peaks are confirmed the chrome diffusion caused by the phase transformation from austenite phase to martensite one. (2) The peak is observed in the low temperature range in C50. It is recognized Snoek peak due to the diffusion of carbon atoms.
